Duxbury Racing arrived in NZ in 1993 from the UK, where Phil had been racing classic British Motorcycles, at great circuits such as Brands Hatch, Donnington
Park and Silverstone, to mention but a few.
Upon arrival in NZ Duxbury Racing became a road race sidecar team and with varying success at National Level they were eventually crowned the winter series national
Champions in 1998.
The focus returned to 2 wheels in 2000 with the purchase of a 1980 Yamaha RD 350 LC, which has been modified and developed, to become a regular class leading machine, with
several victories to be boasted.
The Team expanded to include a second machine in 2002 with the purchase of a 1988 GSXR 750 J Suzuki. Phil transplanted his 1989 GSXR 1100 engine and entered the newly
established Pre '89 Post Classic Class. |
