WELCOME TO DUXBURY RACING
Duxbury Racing arrived in New Zealand from the UK in 1993, where Phil Duxbury had raced classic British Motorcycles at great circuits such as Brands Hatch, Donnington Park and
Silverstone, to mention but a few.
On arrival in New Zealand, Duxbury Racing became a road race sidecar team, with varying success at national level, culminating with crowning as Winter Series National Champions in
1998.
Phil's focus returned to two wheels in 2000 with the purchase of a 1980 Yamaha RD 350 LC, modified and developed to become a regular class winning machine.
Duxbury Racing expanded to a second machine in 2002, with the purchase of a 1988 GSXR 750 J Suzuki. Phil transplanted a 1989 GSXR 1100 engine into the 750 chassis and entered the
newly established Pre '89 Post Classic Class, winning the New Zealand Post Classic Racing Association and Auckland Motorcycle Club championships in this class for the past four
seasons.
